Forum for Joint Ukrainian-Lithuanian Actions for a Lasting Peace
On 24 February, the International Forum "Pursuing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula: Joint Actions of Ukraine and Lithuania towards the Long-Lasting Peace" will take place at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) in Kaunas. The Forum will be welcomed by the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and top Lithuanian and Ukrainian politicians, experts, and scholars will discuss energy security, human rights, and the restoration of justice.

VMU Students Attended Mobility Weeks in Germany and Italy
Recently, three VMU students had the opportunity to attend mobility weeks in Italy and Germany. This allowed them to get acquainted with new study opportunities and innovative companies in those two countries as well as their culture and history. Both events were organized by the Transform4Europe Alliance.

Apply Now: Erasmus Course Among Clouds in Tallinn
The Estonian Academy of Arts has announced the open call for an Erasmus course Among Clouds which will be taught by David K. Ross and guest lecturer Helmut Völter in Tallinn, Estonia on 19–24 March 2023. Application deadline is 15 February 2023.

Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Interactive Exhibition
In June 2022, the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) celebrated its 10th anniversary and created an exhibition-stand about BAFF alumni. This exhibition is interactive - it works with the Overly app, which should be downloaded to the phone. With the Overly app, you can scan the faces at the stand and short video reports about these people will be presented to you on your phone. This exhibition travels through the universities of the Baltic countries. First, it was exhibited at VilniusTech University, later it travelled around Latvia and Estonia. In February 2023 we present it in Kaunas, Vytautas Magnus University, V. Putvinskio str. 23, ground floor. On this occasion, we want to introduce the community of Vytautas Magnus University to BAFF's areas of activity, programs, internship offers and opportunities to gain experience in the USA.

Open Competition for University Fee Exemptions for Spring Semester
Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) has launched an open competition for university fee exemptions for spring semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory).

Conference on Media and Information Literacy will take place at VMU
Media and Information literacy may be considered one of the essential 21st-century skills. Teaching media and information literacy provides teachers and students with literacy skills such as information literacy and technology literacy that will help them understand and analyze media. It also cultivates such learning skills as critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) presents a new interactive platform specifically for alumni called "VMU alumni ID". The purpose of this platform is to maintain and strengthen mutual relations with VMU alumni who are scattered all over the world. The platform will give graduates the opportunity to use the services and benefits provided by the university and to follow the relevant news of the university and alumni.
