Howard University Assoc. Prof. Jennifer Thomas to Visit VMU
On Wednesday 20 September, 11.15 a.m., at VMU Centre for Research and Studies (23 V. Putvinskio Street, Room 106), a lecture will be held by Howard University (USA) Associate Professor, Fulbright Specialist scholar, former executive producer at CNN and journalism expert Jennifer Thomas. The guest's lecture will be for the students of the VMU Dept. of Public Communication and for the VMU community. The topic of the lecture is 'When Facts Are Not Enough: How To Sustain Journalism In An Era of Disinformation'.
VMU Receives High Evaluations from International Experts
In May, Vytautas Magnus University was visited by a team of international experts from the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC), who conducted an assessment of Vytautas Magnus University’s activities. VMU received high evaluations in all categories, securing accreditation for the maximum period of seven years. The experts recognised that the university stands out in Europe not only for the flexibility of its study programmes, but also for its wide-ranging international activities and high-quality research and infrastructure.

VMU Initiated Critical Heritage Lab in Italy and Slovenia
On Monday 11 September, in the University of Trieste (Italy) and the University of Primorska (Slovenia), a new laboratory initiated by Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) was introduced, where scientists together with entrepreneurs, public activists and other social partners will carry out projects dedicated to cultural heritage. The new laboratory, Critical Heritage LAB, is one of the Transformation Labs implemented by VMU along with its partners, other members of the Transform4Europe Alliance: the Estonian Academy of Arts, Jean Monnet University, University of Trieste, and University of Primorska.

Starting in 2021, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) has entered into very important cooperation with Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) programme. In 2023 IISMA has 67 partners in 25 countries with 1150 Awardees. VMU is the only university in Lithuania that has entered this unique cooperation framework.
