Disability Forum: Inclusive Higher Education Was Held for the 3rd Time
On May 22, Vytautas Magnus University, as part of the implementation of its Disability Policy of the University of Inclusive Opportunities, organized the third Disability Forum: Inclusive Higher Education 2024. The event, which has now become a tradition, was attended by Lithuanian higher education experts experienced in creating reasonable accommodation and increasing the accessibility of higher education for persons with various disabilities or individual needs.

T4EU Summer School for Early-Stage Researchers
The 14th Lisbon Summer School for the Study of Culture will be the first Transform4Europe Summer School for Early-Stage Researchers. Organised under the theme ‘Culture at War’, the event will take place between 24 and 29 June 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal.

VMU Honorary Doctorate Awarded to Professor Timothy Garton Ash
On 20 May, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) held a solemn meeting of the VMU Senate, during which British historian, Professor Timothy Garton Ash was awarded an Honorary Doctorate.

Empowering Education: VMU’s International Staff Week 2024
From April 22nd to 26th, Vytautas Magnus University hosted Erasmus+ International Staff Week. 112 educators and non-academic personnel from 41 countries stayed at VMU for a week filled with learning, presentations, networking, and immersing themselves in our country's culture. The gathering brought together delegates from Japan, Ukraine, Argentina, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Kenya, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Korea, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Mauritius, Tanzania, Armenia, Malaysia, Brazil, Moldova, and numerous other countries.

VMU to Hold Graduation Ceremony
On 18-22 June, Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) invites everyone to participate in festive graduation events.

VMU Athletes Won 52 Medals at the SELL Student Games
One of the largest student sports events in the Baltic States, the 39th SELL Student Games, this year took place in Kaunas, as well as, at the sports venues of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). Over 1,300 student athletes from 10 countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Italy, Slovakia, and Romania) and 36 higher education institutions participated in the sporting event, which was held from May 16-19. The haul of VMU athletes was impressive: 52 medals.

VMU Visit to Mariupol State University
In mid-May, a delegation from Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) visited Ukraine, participating in a strategic session organized by Mariupol State University in Lviv. The VMU delegation included Rector Juozas Augutis, Transform4Europe institutional coordinator Prof. Ineta Dabašinskienė, and activity coordinators Tomas Mickevičius and Kateryna Horiunova.
