The new heads of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) Arts Centre’s folklore ensemble “Linago,” Rūta Klungevičiūtė and Vidmantas Paleckis, are excited to welcome all those who are passionate about music, dance, and community. “Join us on a creative journey where tradition meets modernity, and new ideas create a unique experience!” say the enthusiastic new heads, inviting everyone to attend the first ensemble rehearsals.
University Fee Reduction Competition Open for Applications
Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) has launched an open competition for university fee reductions for spring semester of the academic year 2024/2025. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory) and increasing engagement in the activities implemented by the University community, encouraging the choice to study at the University, promoting the pursuit of the highest academic achievements and active participation in the University activities.
Registration for the Freedom to Create 2025 Conference
VMU invites you to participate in a student conference “Freedom to Create” which will be held on May 9th, 2025. The conference is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the most famous Lithuanian artist and composer, Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis (1875-1910).
T4EU Online Course on Matlab and Data Analysis for PhD Students
The European university alliance Transform4Europe and Saarland University invite PhD students to register for the online course Matlab and Data Analysis, which will be held on Microsoft Teams on the 25th and 27th of March and on the 1st and 3rd of April at 3–7 p.m. (Lithuania time). Online registration of participants is open until 28 February.
Competition for the Position of VMU Rector
Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) Council has announced a public competition for the position of VMU Rector. Admission of applications from the candidates will be open from 31 January to 7 March.
