VMU Honorary Doctorate Awarded to Nobel Laureate Svetlana Alexievich
The Senate of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) has granted the title of VMU Honorary Doctor in the field of the humanities to Nobel Laureate Svetlana Alexievich.

Meeting with a former Lithuania’s Ambassador to China
After some break we come back with another “Time for Asia” event. This time it is a remote meeting with Ina Marčiulionytė who was Lithuania’s ambassador to China from 2015 to 2020. The meeting will take place online on October 22nd (Thursday), 14:30 and will be conducted in Lithuanian language.
VMU to host International Conference on Violence against Women
On the 25th and 26th of November Vytautas Magnus university will be hosting an online International Scientific Conference „The history of violence against women: from theoretical to empirical perspectives“. The conference will be held to commemorate International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Japanese Culture Fair at VMU

On Friday, 9 October, 11 a.m. The Center for Social Anthropology (CSA) of Vytautas Magnus University will be hosting a seminar „RETURNING - REMITTING: Social Remittances in Lithuania, Poland and Croatia“ which is based on the REMIT project "Social Remittances of (Re)migrants: Challenges and Experiences in Comparative Perspective."

University Fees Exemptions Were Awarded for Students
VMU publishes the results of an open competition for university fee exemptions for Autumn semester 2020/2021. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory).
VMU to Host International Conference on Pacai Noble Family of the GDL
On 13-14 May 2021, the departments of History and Lithuanian Studies at VMU Faculty of Humanities will hold international scientific conference The Noble Family of (Pacowie) Pacai of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Lithuanian Baroque, which is dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of the GDL Chancellor Krzysztof Zygmunt Pac (1621–1684).
