Vytautas Magnus University to Undergo External Assessment

On 3–5 May, a visit of an international team of experts of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) will take place at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). The expert group composed by SKVC will assess the performance of VMU.

For three days, members of the external assessment team will meet and interact separately with VMU Rector and Vice-Rectors, members of the Council and Senate, students and members of the Student Representative Council, teachers and researchers, heads of academic and non-academic units, alumni, social partners, the self-assessment group, and others.

Experts will also examine and assess VMU infrastructure and meet with the persons responsible for physical facilities.

On 5 May, at 3 p.m., at room 602 (K. Donelaičio g. 52), the international team of experts will present to the university community their general observations made during the visit. All members of Vytautas Magnus University community are invited to attend.

The external assessment of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) must be carried out at least every 5 years and the results of the assessment must be made public. This is provided for in the Law on Higher Education and Research of the Republic of Lithuania (Paragraph 5 of Article 22).
