Transport and Logistics Engineering
The aim of the programme is to prepare a Bachelor Engineering professional in Transport and Logistics, who will be able to apply knowledge based on theoretical and critical thinking, to solve problems independently and to carry out activities in the specialized work and study areas of automotive transport and technological equipment. To provide basic knowledge of the field of transport and logistics engineering and related fields of physical and technological studies, forming the theoretical basis of engineering activity competence, to develop the skills necessary for the professional activity of transport and logistics engineering. To provide specialized knowledge in the field of transport and logistics engineering and to develop skills necessary for solving complex specialized problems of professional activity in engineering of transport and logistics technological equipment and related study fields.
Vehicle engineering or Logistics engineering.
After completion of this study programme students will be able:
- to know functioning principles of machines and mechanisms, to select of production technology and its measures, its proper operation, optimization of expenditure, planning demand and exploitation of the machines
- to have knowledge base in field of transport and logistic engineering sciences
- to to manage the transport systems, control freight flows, organize warehouse work, to analyse the process quality parameters, to foresee and implement effective engineering solutions, to control technical measures and to optimize their work by evaluation of economy, human safety and environmental impact
- to know theoretical basics of transports and logistics and it‘s practical use, to design logistics systems and to take solutions on warehouse using modern computer programs.
Career opportunities Professional internships are carried out in companies with the most recent production facilities and technologies in Lithuania and abroad. Students acquire practical skills solving concrete transport engineering and logistics problems depending from selected alternative study subjects: selecting and diagnosing mechatronics systems, designing the elements of logistics systems, evaluating vehicles and its‘ demand, choosing loading The graduates of Transport and Logistics Engineering may work as specialists of engineering sciences in manufacturing technology design, technical service and private companies and other large-scale enterprises, in management vehicles and logistics administration and quality control institutions, to develop private business
