Online Flashmob #100vdumemories

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light”. This quote is said by Albus Dumbledore, of the Harry Potter series. And today it seems more necessary than ever.

We invite alumni and students to turn their light on – to share personal warm memories about studies in Vytautas Magnus University in honour of VMU’s 100th anniversary.

Let’s have an online flashmob and gather at least 100 memories!

Your precious moments from your student’s lifetime are true treasure over the years. Feel free to share photos and/or short stories, tagging your friends, lectors, and professors.

Recalling our memories, let’s share them with each other with warmth and sincerity, reveal our hearts to goodness and peace.

It could be any moments and emotions related to the university: from the university’s classrooms, long nights of studying before exam, inspired meetings, other events, parties at the dormitory, exploring Kaunas, going on Erasmus exchange and so on.

This online flashmob begins on the 4th of April and ends on the 8th of August. The final collage of your photos will be published to welcome freshmen and in the summer camp for alumni. All photos will be gathered into one picture collage of a huge sign of 100 by the start of the new fall semester.

VMU community has more then 30 000 graduates and more than 8 000 current students. It doesn’t matter when you graduated, which country you’re living in now, what are you studying or where you came from.

We are strong together and have the freedom spirit to share and create. Common memories will connect alumni and current students through the years, cities, and countries. Our memories are always with us, and no one will take them away.  This is what unites us.
