Congratulations on the International Volunteer Day!

540

On December 5th, the whole world celebrates International Volunteer Day, and we would like to extend our sincere congratulations on the occasion to all VOLUNTEERS and to those, who organise, plan, and coordinate volunteering activities!

Volunteering is a great activity, which by helping others allows differences to be made in the lives of volunteers, encourages to look at the problems and various life situations in a different way, while also appreciating the opportunity to help. It is important to bear in mind that volunteering is also a way to personal development, providing practical knowledge, as well as the opportunity to create and change the world.

We would like to wish You:

  • that volunteering would teach You to enjoy Your life, to value sincerity and openness, and would encourage You to see continuous progress within yourselves;
  • that volunteering would help You to understand how different but, at the same time, equal we can be, and to know that encouragement, a little help, or just a simple smile could brighten someone’s day;
  • to find yourself in volunteering, to acquire new skills and competencies, to meet like-minded people who also dedicate their time and energy to a common goal, thus creating a stronger community of volunteers.

VMU invites You to join various volunteering programmes and student organisations. For more information about volunteering opportunities at the University, please visit here.
