Open Competition for University Fee Exemptions for Spring Semester

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) has launched an open competition for university fee exemptions for spring semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The purpose of the competition is to achieve the mission of socially responsible university by reducing social exclusion, creating appropriate financial conditions for VMU students to be accommodated and (or) study (taking into account different social (material) situations, study results and (or) accommodation in the dormitory).

The first stage of the spring semester 2022/2023 registration for lectures, seminars and laboratory works will take place on 24-30 January.

Scholarships and Other Social Benefits Increased as of January, 2023

From January 1, 2023, the Base Rates of Social Benefits has been increased by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, from 46€ to 49€. The increase in the BSB will result in an increase in the social benefits, that depend on it, including student scholarships.

There are variety of Bachelor degree programmes in sociology, linguistics, business, management, logistics, politics, biology, environmental sciences, informatics, multimedia or even music for ambitious and curious students to offer. There is also a list of programmes for the ones who are interested in Master degree studies. Diplomacy, journalism, linguistics, marketing, logistics, educational studies, psychology, law or molecular biology, informatics is not the full list of study areas which students can choose to study for their Master's degree.

Lithuania’s First Meditation Room was Established at the VMU Dormitory

On the initiative of the Student Affairs and International Cooperation Departments of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) and the Students' Representative Council, a meditation room was opened in the dormitory No. 5, located at Universiteto str. 8, Akademija, Kaunas district. This is the first room of its kind in the students’ dormitories in Lithuania, where students can use this space for meditation, concentration, and other personal spiritual or psychological needs.
