Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) announces a competition for scholarships for the scientific or artistic achievements of VMU students, which aims to encourage students to pursue scientific or artistic activities at the University.

VMU to Host Conference of Young Sociologists and Anthropologists
The Department of Sociology at Vytautas Magnus University and the Lithuanian Sociological Association would like to invite you to participate in the 9th annual National conference of young sociologists and anthropologists “Actual Research in Sociology and Anthropology: Problems and Contexts”. The conference will be held on April 21st, 2023, in the Faculty of Social Sciences at Vytautas Magnus University, Jonavos St. 66, Kaunas.

Competition for the Scholarship of S. Banaitis
Saliamonas Banaitis scholarship was established at the University in 2016 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuanian statehood by his grandchildren living in Canada. The aim of the scholarship is to support and encourage the most talented students at the University conducting research related to personalities, organisations, events or processes of the First Independent Republic of Lithuania (1918-1940), which in one way or another are connected with the activities and environment of the signatory of the Act, S. Banaitis.

Inclusive and Equality-based Community Culture at VMU
"For many years, people with various disabilities have been studying and working at Vytautas Magnus University, but until now we have not had a document that would define and systematise these processes, for example, who to contact regarding the adjustment of study or working conditions at the University. The aim of VMU Disability Policy, entitled “University of Inclusive Opportunities”, is to ensure a culture of equality and non-discrimination at the University by providing reasonable accommodations to the study and working conditions and by increasing the accessibility of studies. Each of us is responsible for ensuring that all members of the University community, regardless of their differences and diversity, have equal rights and opportunities," says VMU Disability Coordinator Miglė Janušauskaitė.

Apply Now: Erasmus Course Among Clouds in Tallinn
The Estonian Academy of Arts has announced the open call for an Erasmus course Among Clouds which will be taught by David K. Ross and guest lecturer Helmut Völter in Tallinn, Estonia on 19–24 March 2023. Application deadline is 15 February 2023.
