The DON@ Project’s Multiplier Event focuses on Student Integration
On April 22, 2024, VMU's DON@ team representatives organized the International Multiplier Event for the DON@ Donation Opportunities for Newcomer Students project. The event occurred during International Staff Week 2024, bringing together academic and administrative attendees from various universities and countries. The meeting gathered representatives from Japan, Ukraine, Argentina, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Kenya, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Korea, Italy, Turkey, Mauritius, Tanzania, Armenia, Malaysia, Brazil, Moldova, and many more.

“Freedom to Create 2024” Conference Programme Announced
Very soon, on the first Friday of May, the third “Freedom to Create” conference will once again bring together students and schoolchildren. Dedicated to the anniversary of the re-establishment of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) and to the concept of artes liberales, this year’s event will feature nearly sixty presentations – the largest number yet.

Workshop on How to Prepare a CV for a Specific Job Application
Are you feeling frustrated by the lack of response to your job applications? Struggling to showcase your achievements and skills effectively on your CV and cover letter? Perhaps you’re doubting your suitability for positions due to limited experience or considering a switch to a different field? If any of this sounds familiar, then you’re not alone! Many current students and graduates encounter these obstacles as they navigate their early career journeys! On April 24, Wednesday, at 16:00–17:30 we invite you to participate in the workshop “How to tailor your experience for a specific job-application?” and discuss all the ins and outs of how to get ready for a job-searching journey. The event will take place at VMU dormitory “Baltija” (Vytauto pr. 71 - room 102 (choir hall).

A Lecture by Ambassador of Sweden Lars Wahlund will take place at VMU
Continuing the beautiful tradition of lectures by the Swedish ambassadors to Lithuania during the Scandinavian Days in Kaunas, Ambassador of Sweden Lars Wahlund will meet the VMU students on 25 April at 10.00 o’clock. The lecture Sweden in the Baltic Sea Region sets out to tell the story about Sweden, merging history with the contemporary geopolitical dynamics and security challenges leading up to Swedish membership in NATO.
