Jean Monnet University, partner of the Transform4Europe (T4EU) Alliance, invites students of VMU and other T4EU universities to take the stage at Fest’U 2025, an arts festival held in Saint-Etienne, France on 21-23 May. Registration deadline is 8 January.

“I believe that what is happening in Ukraine is genuinely changing the French perspective on the Eastern European region. We are beginning to understand and see Ukraine as part of Europe. Despite such a dire situation, this experience can teach us a lot and pave the way for solidarity with other countries. Even we French, who can be a bit arrogant, realise that we are closely connected to each other,” says Olivia Marie Anne Fritsch, a French language lecturer at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU).

Vytautas Magnus University has opened a call for students' applications to join the Transform4Europe Buddy Programme. This initiative offers students the opportunity to participate in an international academic and cultural exchange, supporting incoming community members from partner universities and contributing to the integration and engagement efforts of the Transform4Europe network. Applications can be submitted online before 31 December.

The Spanish Language Will Open Doors Not Only to the Labour Market but Also to Many Hearts
“The tradition of teaching Spanish is quite old. Just look at our neighbours, the Poles – they have certainly advanced in teaching this language and have been offering it in schools for a long time. Currently in Lithuania, we are observing a growing interest in this language not only in city schools but also in regional schools. I often receive messages from parents asking if I would be willing to teach their children,” says Vigilija Žiūraitė, a Spanish language lecturer at the Institute of Foreign Languages of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU).
