On Tuesday 28 January, 4 p.m., at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Lithuania (S. Daukanto a. 3, Vilnius) an event will be held dedicated to Lithuania’s signing of cooperation agreement with the world’s research and innovation leader Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, Boston, USA), which frequently tops various global rankings. The cooperation, which opens up wide opportunities for Lithuania, was initiated by the consortium for the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) program in Lithuania. The consortium is coordinated by Vytautas Magnus University (VMU).

Scholarships and Benefits to Increase from January 2025

By a resolution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the base social benefit (BSI) amount will change from €55 to €70 starting January 2025. With the change in BSI, the amounts of benefits dependent on it, including scholarships granted to students, will also change accordingly.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) Student Affairs Department invites students to submit their ideas for the logo of the VMU Student Wellbeing Programme. This programme provides support and services aimed at enhancing students' psychological, social, and academic wellbeing while fostering a supportive university community. The logo will strengthen the programme’s recognition, solidify its identity, and create an emotional connection with the university community, especially the students it serves. Only VMU students are eligible to submit logo ideas.
