Forum to Discuss Borders in Crisis
Borders and their crises are a frequent phenomenon of the recent decades: from the U.S. and Mexico to the Russian war in Ukraine. This topic will be discussed during the forum Borders in Crisis: Border Struggles and Border Violence in a Global Perspective, which will take place in Germany and online on 11-12 May. The forum is organised by the Transform4Europe partner Saarland University. Online registration is required.
T4E Lectures on Quantum Computing and Intercultural Competence
What is quantum computing and why is it fascinating? What are innovative ways to develop intercultural competences today? These and other questions will be answered at two public lectures in English which will be held on 9th and 11th of May at Saarland University and online. The Open Dual Lectures series are organised by the European university alliance Transform4Europe.
Open Dual Lectures: on living in the city and digital business
How to ensure that cities support the residents’ well-being and remain resilient to various challenges? How to effectively adapt business models for the digital sphere – following the example of Apple, Google and other successful companies? These questions will be discussed in two lectures organised by the international Transform4Europe Alliance. The lectures will be held on the 4th and 25th of May in Kaunas and will be streamed online.
Professional Development Activities for VMU Staff in May
VMU Professional Competence Development Centre team invites you to actively participate in professional development activities organised in May for academic and non-academic staff and students. Training topics range from English language training and research data management to business idea generation workshop and home exercise. We also encourage the University community to participate in international "Transform4Europe" trainings (in English), which will offer the opportunity to learn more about creating podcasts, delivering lectures to multilingual student groups, promoting the well-being and inclusion of students with disabilities in the university environment, and intercultural communication.
