We kindly invite you to participate in the 34th International Conference on Artificial Neural Networks ICANN 2025 which will take place on September 9-12, 2025, at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) in Kaunas.

This conference is one of the most important events in Europe in the fields of artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks, neuroscience, and neurotechnologies. It is organized in collaboration with the European Neural Network Society (ENNS) and the European Brain Research InfrastructureS (EBRAINS).

Participants will have the opportunity to attend in-depth workshops on advanced neuroscience and AI methodologies, listen to presentations from leading experts, and engage in discussions on ethical and technological challenges in AI. One of the key events will be a Panel Discussion on Where does AI lead to? Opportunities and Risks“,” on the 10th of  September 2025, where experts will address the interaction between AI and neuroscience, ethical challenges, AI’s impact on human identity, and questions about the safe and responsible development of AI.

General Co-Chairs:

  • Prof. Yoshua Bengio (Université de Montréal, Canada) is a Turing Award laureate and is globally recognized as a pioneer of deep learning and artificial neural networks, driving groundbreaking advancements in artificial intelligence.
  • Prof. Viktor Jirsa (Aix-Marseille Université, France; EBRAINS Chief Science Officer) is renowned for his work in theoretical neuroscience and EBRAINS The Virtual Brain methodology used to build individualized virtual brain twins for diagnosis and treatment outcome prediction. EBRAINS is a groundbreaking collaborative research infrastructure that accelerates brain research and innovation translating neuroscience achievements into technological solutions.
