Gunma University Spring Session 2026

“Gunma University Spring Session 2026,” designed for students at our partner universities, has now opened.

The objective of this session is to provide undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at our partner universities with a four-day intensive program, offering unique learning experiences specific to Gunma University and Gunma Prefecture.

  1. Dates: March 16 (Monday) – March 19 (Thursday), 2026 (4 days).
  2. Capacity: 20 participants (In principle, approximately five students per institution).
  3. Participants must meet the following criteria:
    • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a Gunma University partner institution at the time of the session.
    • Must have sufficient English proficiency to understand lectures conducted in English.
    • Must be available to attend all four days of the session.
    • Must purchase overseas travel insurance before arrival in Japan.
  4. Tuition: Free (No program fee will be charged).
    However, additional fees will be required for activities conducted at off-campus facilities. (Specifically, an experimental fee may be required for hands-on activities).
  5. How to Apply: Submit the application via your university’s international office using the following form:

  6. Application Deadline: December 15 (Monday), 2025.
  7. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with consideration for nationality, institution, and gender balance.
  8. Results will be announced by the end of December, 2025.
    If a visa-related certificate is required, it will be issued by the end of January, 2026.
