“In the morning, we should call those we dream of at night. It would make things simpler: ‘Hi, I dreamt of you. Love has woken me up.'”

In 1995, one of Lithuania’s most significant cultural events, the Kino Pavasaris festival, was born. Its very first screening featured Leos Carax’s iconic 1991 film, The Lovers on the Bridge (Les Amants du Pont-Neuf), a poignant story set against the backdrop of a Paris under repair, where two lonely souls find each other.

As Kino Pavasaris celebrates its 30th edition, The Lovers on the Bridge returns to the festival’s repertoire. VMU students and faculty are invited to an exclusive pre-screening, along with a sneak peek at other festival highlights.

The screening will be introduced by film critic and VMU Faculty of Arts lecturer Gediminas Jankauskas.

📽️ The film will be shown in French with English and Lithuanian subtitles.
📅 Date: 19 February
Time: 5 PM
📍 Location: V. Putvinskio St. 23-106, auditorium

The screening is open and free of charge.
