Scholarships and Benefits to Increase from January 2025

By a resolution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the base social benefit (BSI) amount will change from €55 to €70 starting January 2025. With the change in BSI, the amounts of benefits dependent on it, including scholarships granted to students, will also change accordingly.

Scholarships awarded by the University for good study results

The amounts of encouragement scholarships awarded to students in full-time first and second-cycle studies, integrated studies, and professional studies range as follows: basic scholarships (2 BSI) – from €110 to €140 per month; increased scholarships (3.75 BSI) – from €206.25 to €262.50 per month.

For students in part-time first and second-cycle studies and professional studies at the VMU Education and Agricultural Academies, the scholarship amounts range as follows: basic scholarships (1.3 BSI) – from €71.50 to €91 per month; increased scholarships (2.5 BSI) – from €137.5 to €175 per month.

A one-time Social Scholarship (which can be up to 4 BSI in amount) ranges from €220 to €280, while a one-time Encouragement Scholarship (which can be up to 5 BSI in amount) ranges from €275 to €350. For more information about university scholarships, click here.
