International Staff Week 2024 Will Take Place at VMU
Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) community is delighted to host its esteemed colleagues in the VMU International Staff Week, taking place from April 22nd to April 26th, 2024, in Kaunas, Lithuania. This year, we anticipate the attendance of 118 participants from 48 countries. The week comprises a teaching programme with 79 lecturers and a training programme involving 39 administrative staff and lecturers.
During the event, lecturers will give classes on more than one hundred topics to VMU students. Meanwhile participants of the training programme (stream) will share their experience and deliver presentations on various pertinent topics, including challenges in implementing mobilities during times of crisis, intercultural communication, challenges and best practices in international student integration, promoting mobility opportunities for outgoing students and staff, recruitment strategies to attract international students, and other proposed topics on internationalization. Additionally, attendees of the training programme (stream) will engage in two specialized training sessions: „Intercultural Communication Competence Development: Gaining Effective Strategies to Address Misunderstandings and Cross-Cultural Barriers“, and „Intercultural Communication Competence Development: Effective Communication Strategies“.
The proposed programme for guests encompasses a diverse array of activities ranging from training sessions to socio-cultural events, providing ample opportunities for participants to connect, network, share their experience and explore the vibrant city of Kaunas.
