Start the year with sport at the VMU Sports Centre!

We invite Vytautas Magnus University students to register and join the VMU Sports Centre’s sports activities for the spring semester 2021-2022.
The classes are free of charge for VMU students. You can register for several sessions of your choice, so you are welcome to get actively involved in the activities offered by the Sports Centre.
IMPORTANT: please be informed, that in order to participate in the activities of the Sports Centre, you must have a National Certificate; The EU Digital COVID Certificate; or any other medical document proving that you are fully vaccinated or a document from a medical establishment confirming the recovery of COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) confirmed by a positive result of a SARS-CoV-2 PCR test to participate in the Sports Centre activities.
When attending sports activities, we encourage everyone to be aware and to follow the guidelines to stay healthy and reduce the risk of coronavirus infection: keep a safe physical distance, wash your hands regularly and stay at home if you are required to be isolated or if you are experiencing symptoms of a cold or other contagious illness.

From the spring semester 2021-2022, the Sports Centre is offering several new classes and extended gym hours:
- Students registered for the gym will be able to use it every weekday from 8 am to 9 pm. (until now, this option was only available from 1 pm to 8 pm). A technical break is scheduled from 12 noon to 1 pm.
- Sports Yoga is a new group exercise activity, which is open to all those who are already exercising and beginners.
- E-sports – a new form of sport in which all the basic aspects of sport are reproduced by electronic systems, and the results of the players’ and teams’ actions in the e-sports system are generated through human-computer interfaces. Anyone wishing to join the e-sports sessions is invited to do so remotely (a link to the remote meetings will be sent only to registered users). E-sports activities will start from February 8th.
Registration for sports activities
REGISTRATION: Students wishing to register for the VMU Sports Centre activity sessions must follow three steps:
- log in to the student portal and select the Registration / Sports Activities section from the menu bar
- select the desired sport, its group, time, and day
- click on the Enrol button.
Once you have registered for a sports activity, you can start attending its training sessions immediately, according to the specified schedule.
The student will see the classes of the sports he/she has registered for in the student portal in the section Registration / Sports activities at the top. You can also unsubscribe from the selected classes if you want to withdraw from them or if you do not intend to attend them, also in the student portal.
