Opportunity for students – Virtual Summer Institute courses

The partners of Vytautas Magnus University, Lingnan University (Hong Kong) has invited to take advantage of a unique opportunity and participate in the Virtual Summer Institute they organise.
Therefore, we are announcing the call for the candidates to join it.
Information before you apply:
The studies consist of two sessions, 1 and 2.
Session 1 will take place from 27th of May until 8th of July 2021.
Session 2 will take place from 15th of July until 3rd of August 2021.
- Exchange students could take courses from Session 1 and 2 jointly but they can take a maximum of TWO courses throughout Sessions 1 and 2.
- VMU can delegate up to 10 students
- The list of subjects suggested can be found here.
- The applications must be submitted in the Lingnan system by April 9. However, all candidates must contact VMU International Cooperation Department beforehand, as they are the ones to submit the initial information there.
- These are credit-bearing courses.
- Since we are partners of Lingnan University, these courses are offered for our students free of charge!
Requirements for the candidates:
- Students who completed at least 2 terms of full-time study but not in the final-year-final-semester at home institution
- A cumulative Grade Point Average of 7
- For non-English native speaker, a TOEFL score of 213 (computer-based), 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based), or an IELTS (Academic Module) score of 6.0 is required. A certificate of B2 English language level issued by VMU Foreign Language Institute.
- A recommendation letter by home institution (in English, from faculty or the International Office) with comments on why the student is recommended for our exchange programme. Individual recommendation letter is expected for each applicant.
How to submit an application?
By 26 March 2021, send the following information (full name, study programme, course, semester, grade average, contact email, session(s) chosen and names of the subjects) at agne.poderyte@vdu.lt.
Once the primary selection stage is over, and you receive the confirmation, you will have to provide a recommendation letter by April 2 2021 to the same email.
