Šiame straipsnyje yra analizuojama, kokį vaidmenį atlieka tėvai, ugdydami vaikų bendruomeniškumą, ir kaip visa tai supranta ir savo santykiuose su aplinka atskleidžia jų vaikai. Šiam tikslui pasiekti buvo atliktas kiekybinis tyrimas – apklausa raštu. Tyrimo rezultatai atskleidė, kad tėvai ugdo savo vaikų bendruomeniškumą rodydami pavyzdį, kaip reikėtų bendrauti su giminaičiais, skatindami švęsti tradicines lietuvių šventes kartu su šeimos nariais. Kiek mažiau dėmesio ir reikšmės yra skiriama vaiko bendruomeniškumo ugdymui kaimynystėje ir visuomenėje. Šie faktai liudija, kad tėvai ne visada rodo tinkamą pavyzdį, kokius santykius reikia palaikyti su kaimynais, aktyviai neįsitraukia į miesto, kaimo ar seniūnijos organizuojamą bendruomeninę veiklą.
The article discusses the role of parents in development of their children’s sense of communality, children’s understanding of communality and expression of it in their relations to the surrounding environment. To achieve the aim, a quantitative research (a written survey) was conducted which highlighted that parents develop communality of their children by demonstrating examples on how to behave with relatives, by encouraging them to celebrate traditional Lithuanian festivals together with their family members. Less attention is paid towards nurturance of child’s communality in the neighbourhood and society. These facts illustrate that parents do not always give their children appropriate examples on what relations should be maintained with the neighbours, they are not actively involved into community activities organised by town, village or rural municipalities.
