Грани культуры Серебяного века : cборник научных статейItem type:Publication, [Sidabro amžiaus kultūros akiračiai : mokslo darbų rinkinys]book[2015][K5][H004][252] ;Gudonienė, VidaValiulis, SvetlanaVilnius : Lietuvos edukologijos universiteto leidykla, 2015The collection of research papers is compiled of the Introduction and five chapters which discuss one of the most interesting periods of Russian culture, i.e. Modernism, or speaking metaphorically “The Silver Age”. The leitmotif of all research papers is dialogue both as the principle of cultural development, and the peculiar interpretation of “alien” culture. This dialogue does not limit itself only to contacts between great cultures. It also involves the personalities who create the culture of the spiritual world anew. In Chapter “Dialogue between Cultures: Limits of Text and Context” all literary works are analysed in the context of philosophical, mythological, biblical and art plots which were very topical in the Silver Age. The artistic world of Ivan Bunin is interpreted through synthesis of his personal worries and feelings and substantial questions of a human being’s existence in general. The influence of prose and poetry of Modernism is also found in his works. Research papers which deal with M. Cvetajeva’s poetry reveal original state of her inner life, her emotional world and tragic character of the epoch. J. Baltrushaitis is depicted as an original writer-symbolist whose Russian literary texts are interspersed with the features of national worldview. Research papers also show J. Baltrushaitis’ Lithuanian reception. A. Blokhs’ “Neznakomka”, J. Baltrushaitis “Vecher”, I. Bunin’s “Gospodin iz Sanfrancisko”, V. Majakovskij’s and M. Cvetajeva’s texts are adapted for the analysis in the study process.
