Subkultūrų poveikis ugdymo procesui mokykloje: paauglių, priklausančių subkultūroms, požiūrisItem type:Publication, [Impact of subcultures on educational process in school: the approach of teenagers belonging to subcultures]journal article[2016]Ilgūnė-Martinėlienė, RitaPedagogika, 2016, t. 121, nr. 1, p. 124–135Straipsnyje analizuojamas subkultūroms priklausančių paauglių požiūris į subkul-tūrų daromą poveikį ugdymo(si) procesui mokykloje bei pristatoma šių paauglių nuomonė apie subkultūrų pripažinimą ir vertinimą visuomenėje.
10 29 Agresyvumo raiška Lietuvos skinhedų ir ekstremalių futbolo sirgalių (ultrų) subkultūroseItem type:Publication, [The expression of aggression of Lithuania’s skinheads and extreme football fans ultra’s]research article[2012][S4][S005][10]; Sporto mokslas / Sport Science, 2012, no. 3, p. 47-56Aggression is one of the heaviest illnesses of our social life which actively aggravates in the modern society and becomes inseparable part of our life. According to the psychoanalytical model of aggression created by S. Freud and adherents of the biological theory which states that aggression is a consequence of frustration, destruction and instinct of death, a sociological research has shown that the youth aggressiveness takes a form of unsatisfied wishes, reaching one’s ideals, lack of self-expression. It can also be influenced by catharsis – when negative emotions are transferred to another object. The paper analyses youth aggressiveness as well as public attitude formed by the mass media towards the members of subcultures of skinheads and football fans (so-called ultras). The aim of this research is to reveal, sift and describe youth aggressiveness reasons in Lithuania subcultures such as skinheads (nationalist attitude) and ultras (extreme football-fans). [...].

805 131 Simbolinių pasaulių kūryba, gamyba ir kolonizacijaItem type:Publication, [Creation, Manufacture and Colonization of Symbolical Worlds]research article[2009][S4][H001][20]Grupės ir aplinkos / Groups and Environments, 2009, no. 1, p. 29-48Multiculturalism encompasses a few directions of intercultural communication, cooperation and several directions of subculturalization of economy. The most popular sphere of intercultural cooperation and conquest is international relations. There are most important national ones in this case. Another big cluster of multicultural relations is inter-class relations. By this I mean, for example, friendship and war between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat or among lower, middle and low classes. With regard to interculturalism, the third very popular topic for consideration is gender-based communication, male and female cultural features as well as criticism of patriarchal and homophobic discourses. The forth important topic is inter-subcultural communication including inter-racial dialogs. The interpretation of inter-clan and inter-cast communication as a form of multiculturalism is, however, less popular. Multicultural relations create a necessary field for the spread of images, symbols and artifacts, for example, the spread of proletariat revolutionary images between young circles of bourgeoisie. It is also a form of migrating reality.[...]
43 70 - research article[2012][S4][H006][21]Grupės ir aplinkos / Groups and Environments, 2012, no. 3, p. 151-171
On the basis of field studies which were performed during 2004-2010, the author in his article compares skinhead groups with respect to their activity. Three states of activity have been identified and defined by group members’ activity and the internal structure of the group. In the first – the inactive, or “hibernation” – state, the skinheads do not act as a group and have no common activity, although there are individuals with the identity of this subculture in the area. In the second – the active (“party”) – state, the group mostly limits its activity to spontaneous or retaliatory actions and spending free time together. In the third – the highly active (“extremist”) – state, the group acquires signs if an organization engages in planned actions alongside the spontaneous ones, and becomes more closed with respect to other groups. The research was aimed at determining what factors conditioned the transition from one state of activity to the other. A combination of the concepts of the systems theory and ethnographic description was applied to identify internal and external environments, interaction between group members, and the effect of this interaction on the activity of the group.
273 56 Metalo muzikos gerbėjų fanzinai : subkultūrinės grupės tapatybės kodaiItem type:Publication, [Fanzines of Metal Music Headbangers: Tthe Codes of the Identity and the Subcultural Group]research article[2009][S4][S005][22]Grupės ir aplinkos / Groups and Environments, 2009, no. 1, p. 199-220The article presents a part of the empirical research on the Lithuanian metal music subcultural identity as it is portrayed in its media, the fanzines. The article aims at exploring the forms of the collective identity of the expressive youth socio-cultural group (subculture) as it is presented by the specific media. Through their verbal and visual texts, the fanzines present the ideas and views of three structural parts of the subculture: the musicians, the fans and the media (editors and publishers). However, they do not include any “other” external parts which would be interested in the commerce and profit. For that reason, fanzines acquire their special traits and gain the possibilities not only to delineate and reinforce the standards of the metal music subculture, but also to participate in the formation and maintenance of the collective identity of this socio-cultural group. As claimed by Deena Weinstein (2000), the name of the metal music subculture comes from the name of a musical genre, thus the music is the main emblem of this sub-cultural group, but it is not its reason for the existence. In her analysis of the metal music sub-culture, Weinstein (2000) originally singled out three codes – sonic, verbal, and visual – that were inherent to the given sub-culture. The idea of such codes was employed in the analysis of the identity of the Lithuanian metal music subculture. The empirical research of fanzines revealed that the identity of the Lithuanian metal music subculture manifests itself not only in its sonic, visual and verbal forms, but also in the existence of one more very important level which in the present article is referred to as an ideological code (worldviews, cultural ideas, opposition, protests, etc).[...]
