    The strategy of Thematic villages in Lithuania actively apply the 11 villages, 5 from them (Pelėdų, Lieptų, Paukščių, Senolių, Meniškas kaimas) were tested. The aim of the research - to set the drivers of thematic village’s development and to strengthening their vitality. For thematic villages development and principles analysis were applied of thematic villages leaders questionnaire, online sources information. The most important factors that held back the development of thematic villages - the lack of information and knowledge, closeness, weak thematic village’s leader’s needs to learn, lack of the marketing tools, weak public relations, a small number of population are interest in rural thematic strategy. The driving forces of Lithuanian thematic village’s development are: development of crafts, local tourism organization and provision of services, fostering folk traditions, starting a business, additional income, attraction of tourists, presentation of culinary and cultural heritage.

    Unsystematic training of young sportsmen, sub-optimal distribution of training load creates preconditions for their demotivation and short-term sport performance. The purposefulness of the exercise, consistent and systematic training with regard to social factors and the recommendations of the scientists help to achieve the highest and lasting results. Research object: Kaunas city sports school “Bangpūtys” the initial preparation of the sportsmen groups annual plans of 2018-2019 years. The aim of the study was to provide alternatives to optimize workload distribution by analyzing the annual plans of initial training sportsmen groups. Research methods: the analysis of the scientific literature, the analysis and synthesis of statistics of exercise load, parallel, comparison. The article reveals the structure of the annual plans of the initial training groups of sportsmen according to the periods of general and special physical training, analyzes and compares the training loads of the initial sports groups in the annual cycle, provides alternatives for the optimization of the distribution of loads. The rowing had the most hours of practice. Rowers had most hours of special physical training and most hours of kayak and canoe physical training. Sailors were mostly concentrated on theory and tactics cultivation and rowers had inventory preparation and separate or full motion development. The initial training period of athletes in competition period lasted 7 months during which sailors had the most hours of special and general physical training. Preparation period took 5 months, during them most hours of special physical preparation was done by rowers and kayakers, most hours of general physical training was done by rowers.     The paper deals with the problem of organization of short food supply chain ( SFSC ) and seeks to analyze the main assumptions for organization of short food supply chain in Lithuania. The assumptions for the organization of the SFSC have been analysed by using mix methods approach - scientific literature, statistical data analysis and synthesis, document analysis, good practice analysis, parallel and other methods. Theoretical background of SFSC organization was based on t he concept SFSC organization evaluation; providing farmers with good practice in developing the SFSC ; disclosing experience from the European Innovation Partner ship (EIP) and other projects; t he principles for the development of SFSC have been identified in various studies of the European Commission and communique ; involvement of local communities in developing support systems; direct sales culture; developing fa rmers markets in the country; food market desertification; co - creation process; organization of SFSC etc. Assumptions for organization of SFSC in Lithuania are related with food supply chains prevailing in the country; food waste; processing of agricultural produce on farmers' farms; sales of agricultural and food products at farmers markets and other.
