The field experiment was carried out in 2015 on the calcareous shallow luvisol Calc (ar) i- Epihypogleyic Luvisol (LVg - pw - cc) of the Experimental Station at Aleksandras Stulginskis University. Application of 6.0 and 10.0 l ha-1 Humafol increased the productivity of winter wheat grain yield, but had no substantial effect. Application of Humafol in combination with preparation of nitrogen-fixing bacteria Azofix resulted in substantial increase in winter wheat grain yield. In comparison with the control application of 6.0 l ha-1 Humafol in combination with 1.0 l ha-1 Azofix resulted in 1.01 t ha-1 yield supplement compared, while application of 10.0 l ha-1 Humafol in combination with preparation of nitrogen-fixing bacteria Azofix resulted in 1.31 t ha-1 yield supplement. It can be argued that Humafol activates biological processes in the soil. Humafol in combination with Azofix substantially increased crop density. The results of the experiment revealed that the biological preparations had no essential effect on the winter wheat crop structural elements. It can be argued that the higher yield was received due to higher crop density. It was found that application of Humafol increased the availability of phosphorus by 2.3 times. Content of the organic carbon in soil was found to be by 84 % higher than in the control. Application of 10.0 l ha-1 Humafol in combination with 1.0 l ha-1 Azofix resulted in the highest (3.19%) organic carbon content.
