Abstract (en)
In Lithuania there are a lot of idle africultural land areas that could be used for the cultivation of energy crops. Besides special crops grown for energy purposes, biomass fuel resources can be supplemented by conventional herbaceous plants used for forage. Comprehensive research into intensive and sustainable cultivation systems of potential energy crops for fuel is carried out at the Institute of Agricultural Engineering Lithuanian Agricultural University and the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture.
