Abstract (en)
This paper presents behaviour of rapeseed oil when using them as environmenantally friendly base lubricant. To obtain improved parameters rapeseed oil has been modified with stearic acid (0,5 and 1%), mono- and monodiglycerides (0,5%). Tribological properties of these compositions were studied using a four-ball testr. Research results indicate that modification of rapeseed oil with the above mentioned substances and their mixtures increase anti-wear properties and reduce friction.
