Abstract: The aim of investigation was to evaluate perspective sweet cherry cultivars, developing the desired characteristics and ;c recommend cultivars for further breeding. Experiment was conducted at the Lithuanian Institute of Horticulture's collectional sweet cherries orchard in 2010. One of the main characters which have been evaluated in a sweet cherries rrchard is frost damage and the fruit size. itaestigation showed that stronger frost damage was in these sweet cherry cultivars: 'Merchant' ,'Sunburst', 'Vega', No-10. Frost - resistant selections: No.94, No.62. The greatest fruits of sweet cherry cultivars is: 'Sunburst', 'Vega', So.5T No.8. The smallest fruits of sweet cherry cultivars: 'Aprelka' and 'Sam'
