A large proportion of women are dissatisfied with their own body and their relationships with a partner. It is not surprising that a considerable dissatisfaction in these important areas of life affects the overall quality of life, and therefore further studies in these areas are very significant for the science of psychology. The purpose of the work is to analyze the connection between women's satisfaction with their body image and the sexual and psychological aspects of their relationships with a partner. A questionnaire survey involving 200 women, 19 to 55 years of age, was carried out. The participants of the study filled in a Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire, Sexual Satisfaction Scale for Women, the Dyadic Adjustment Scale, and gave their answers to a socio-demographic questionnaire and the questionnaire concerning their experience in romantic relationships with a partner. It was found that even though the study participants are not satisfied with their sex life, they do not have any concerns regarding that; although the study participants are satisfied with their partners, they tend to feel a lack of communication in their relationships; satisfaction with sexual relations between the partners is higher for the women who are more satisfied with their appearance and are more confident with their physical shape; the satisfaction with relationships between the partners is higher for the women who are more satisfied with their body image; satisfaction with the own body image is not related to satisfaction with a partner; BMI has an effect on connection between satisfaction with one's own body image and satisfaction with the psychological and sexual aspects of relationships with a partner, however we were unable draw a general conclusion regarding the impact of BMI; connection between satisfaction with one’s own body image and satisfaction with the sexual aspect of relationships is not age-dependent; older women with more confidence in physical shape are more satisfied with partners compared to women with less confidence in physical shape; unmarried women more satisfied with appearance are more satisfied with the sexual aspect of relationship with their partners and mutual connection.
