The quality of topographical maps is very important, because roads (streets) are strategic object of country facility. We need to evaluate the methods of composing topographical maps on purpose to compose effectively and of high quality topographical maps for roads and streets. This work analyses and compares classical tacheometric and quite recent mobile laser scanning methods, introducing their technological properties, potentials and efficiency. It describes usable enginery, analysing final results, its accuracy and evaluating the topographical maps composing process. This work introduces concrete topographical research projects of roads and streets (parts) that present the analysis of terrene, roads constituent and roundabout objects. It shows the investigated methods potential and final accuracy in using a number of control points. The quality (particularity) of topographical maps, correlations, scheduled and height accuracy is evaluated. The final results shown up that the main differences between these methods in composing topographical maps in the city and rural area is the speed of surveying and data processing, particularity of results and practical possibilities. At this work fundamental and empirical methods of research was used. This graduate work contains: preface, 4 chapters, 13 subsections, 10 paragraphs, a conclusion and recommendations, and list of literature. Scope of work – 62 pages, that contains 23 pictures and 9 tables. Bibliographical schedule is contained of 39 sources.
