Genetiškai modifikuotų augalininkystės produktų poveikis vartotojams
Magistrantūros studijų baigiamasis darbas 64 puslapių, 24 paveikslų, 5 lentelių, 68 literatūros šaltinių, 6 priedų, lietuvių kalba. PRASMINIAI ŽODŽIAI: biotechnologija, genų inžinerija, genetiškai modifikuoti organizmai, genetiškai modifikuoti produktai, genetiškai modifikuoti augalai, vertinimas. Tyrimo objektas – genetiškai modifikuotų augalininkystės produktų poveikis vartotojams. Tyrimo tikslas – įvertinti genetiškai modifikuotų augalininkystės produktų teigiamą ir neigiamą poveikį vartotojams. Uždaviniai: 1) identifikuoti genetiškai modifikuotų augalininkystės produktų kūrimo tikslus ir pritaikymo sritis; 2) identifikuoti teoriniu požiūriu genetiškai modifikuotų augalininkystės produktų poveikį vartotojams ekonominiu, ekologiniu bei socialiniu aspektais; 3) išnagrinėti genetiškai modifikuotų produktų gamybos, prekybos ir vartojimo reguliavimo ypatumus; 4) įvertinti vartotojų požiūrį į genetiškai modifikuotus augalininkystės produktus. Tyrimo metodai. Iškeltai problemai tirti ir rezultatams gauti naudoti mokslinės literatūros, statistinių duomenų analizės ir sintezės metodai, grafinis vaizdavimas, apklausa. Tyrimo rezultatai: • pirmoje darbo dalyje išnagrinėtos biotechnologijos plėtros sritys ir mastas, identifikuoti genetiškai modifikuotų organizmų atsiradimo, jų produktų kūrimo tikslai, atliktas teoriniu požiūriu genetiškai modifikuotų augalininkystės produktų gamybos/vartojimo vertinimas socialiniu, ekonominiu ir ekologiniu aspektu; • antroje dalyje išnagrinėti genetiškai modifikuotų augalų gamybos ribojimo ypatumai šalyse, kur gamyba neribojama ir šalyse, kur ji ribojama, įvertinta kokią įtaką tai turi vartotojams, palyginti prekybos genetiškai modifikuotais maisto produktais reguliavimo principai ir jų sąlygotos tarptautinė, regioninė ir nacionalinė valdymo sistemos ir kokią įtaką tai turi vartojimui, išanalizuota prekybos genetiškai modifikuotais organizmais ir jų produktais reglamentavimo teisinė bazė, prekybos reguliavimo instrumentai; • trečioje dalyje ištirtas vartotojų požiūris į genetiškai modifikuotus maisto produktus Lietuvoje ir nustatyta priklausomybė tarp gyventojų nuostatų genetiškai modifikuotų organizmų atžvilgiu ir jų finansinės padėties, bei pateikta genetiškai modifikuotų maisto produktų kainų Lietuvos rinkoje analizė; • pagrindinė išvada – empirinio tyrimo rezultatai parodė, jog Lietuvoje vyrauja neigiamas požiūris į genetiškai modifikuotų maisto produktų vartojimą. Nustatyta tendencija apie sąlyginai teigiamą žemiausių pajamų grupės respondentų nuomonę minėtų produktų vartojimo klausimais. Vartojimą skatina mažesnės vartotojų pajamos. Dominuoja aiškus vartotojų noras atskirti genetiškai modifikuotus maisto produktus taikant ženklinimo reikalavimus. Beveik vieningai pritariama valstybiniam genetiškai modifikuotų produktų rinkos ir importo reguliavimui. Tyrimo rezultatai parodė, kad prekybos tinkluose genetiškai modifikuotų maisto produktų kainos daugiau nei trečdalį mažesnės lyginant su esamais panašiais tradiciniais produktais. Tyrimo rezultatai pateikti straipsnyje ,,Genetiškai modifikuotų produktų rinkos ekonominiai efektai gamintojams ir vartotojams: teorinis požiūris“ (1 priedas) ir publikuoti 2011 m. mokslo darbų rinkinyje ,,Vadybos mokslas ir studijos – kaimo verslų ir jų infrastruktūros plėtrai“ Nr. 1, bei pristatyti tarptautinėje mokslinėje–praktinėje konferencijoje ,,Ekonominiai–vadybiniai regionų ir organizacijų darnaus vystymosi aspektai“, vykusioje 2011 m. balandžio 8 – 9 d. Klaipėdos universitete (2 priedas). produktai, genetiškai
Final work of postgraduate (Master’s) studies, 64 Pages, 24 Figures, 5 Tables, 68 References, 6 Appendixes, in the Lithuanian language. KEY WORDS: biotechnology, genetic engineering, genetically modified organisms, genetically modified agricultural products, genetically modified crops, assessment. Object of the research – effects of genetically modified crop products on consumers. Aim of the research – to evaluate positive and negative effects of genetically modified crop products on consumers. Objectives of the research: 1) to identify the objectives of genetically modified crop products development and to define the areas of their application; 2) to determine effects of genetically modified crop products on consumers in economical, ecological and social aspects; 3) to analyze regulations on production, trade and use of genetically modified products; 4) to evaluate the consumer approach to genetically modified agricultural products. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, statistical analysis, synthesis, graphical representation and questionnaire methods. Research results: • The first part of the work analyzes fields and degree of biotechnology innovation, identifies aims of development of genetically modified organisms and products and makes theoretical evaluation of genetically modified crop production in social, economic and ecological aspects. • The second part of the work analyzes limiting features of genetically modified crop production in the countries, where production is not limited and in the countries, where it is limited, evaluates its influence on consumers, compares the main principles of trade regulation on genetically modified products and administration systems on international, regional and national levels. • The third part of the work investigates the consumer approach to genetically modified foods in Lithuania, establishes dependency of attitudes to genetically modified organisms and financial status of consumers and analyzes prices of genetically modified food products in the Lithuanian market. The main conclusion – the empirical study shows predominantly negative attitude to genetically modified food products in Lithuania. The established trend shows a relatively positive opinion of the lowest income respondents about use of these products. Low income encourages consumption of genetically modified products. Consumers’ desire to separate genetically modified food products in accordance with labeling requirements predominates. State regulation on market and import of genetically modified products gets an almost unanimous approval. The results show that in supermarkets prices of genetically modified food are more than by one-third lower as compared with those of conventional products.
