The article deals with possibilities to harmonize assumptions related to technology education while analyzing development of technological training and peculiarities of its investigation in Lithuania. Methods of investigation include content analysis of educational documents and scientific literature and analysis of investigations carried out in Lithuania. Theoretical modeling was used for the conceptual model application for contextual situation. Theoretical significance of the research is defined by the revelation of technology education problems solution dependence on the development of the conception of modern technologies. Practical significance is created by tried conceptual model of technology transfer (O. F. Walumbwa, 1999) application in practical reality of Lithuanian system of technology education. The conception of the harmonization is given in the article. Peculiarities of technology education development in Lithuania are defined: the author analyses and evaluates educational documents and science research papers in the sphere of technological training in the period from 1988 to 2003, highlights three problem investigation aspects which represent the conservative, actual and innovative attitudes of scientists. Lithuanian scientists A. Pacevičiūtė (1997), A. Ramanauskaitė (2002), V. Augustinavičius (2003), J. K. Galkauskas (2001), R. Dačiulytė (2003), Ž. Sederevičiūtė (2002), Z. Žebrauskienė (2003), L. Statauskienė (2003) and others working on technology education research, have already revealed some aspects of general education and technology education cohesion. These researches show the technology education as one of the important part of basic and higher education. The article discloses relevance of conceptual model of technology transfer (O. F. Walumbwa, 1999) and possibilities of its adjustment in the process of change taking place in technology education.
