Straipsnyje atskleidžiama Jono Pauliaus II ir Vatikano II Susirinkimo suformuota Bažnyčios savisąmonė, išryškinama Bažnyčios misija šių dienų pasaulyje. Parodomas naujas dialoginis Bažnyčios charakteris bei jos rūpestis kiekvienu žmogumi ir to žmogaus problemomis. Taigi straipsnyje analizuojamas Jono Pauliaus II mokymas ir kiti svarbūs Bažnyčiosmdokumentai. Tyrimo objektas: Jono Pauliaus II mokymas apie Bažnyčią šiuolaikiniame pasaulyje. Tyrimo tikslas: atskleisti Jono Pauliaus II mokymą Bažnyčios švietimo kontekste. Tikslui pasiekti keliami šie uždaviniai: 1. Pateikti Bažnyčią kaip Dievo tautos tikrovę. 2. Nurodyti Bažnyčios ir popiežiaus pastangas kovoje už taiką. 3. Išryškinti ekumenizmo bruožus Bažnyčios gyvenime. 4. Parodyti Bažnyčią kaip socialinio teisingumo puoselėtoją Dievo tautoje. Tyrimo metodologija: Bažnyčios dokumentų analizė ir sintezė.
The article manifests the self-consciousness of the Church formed by John Paul II and Vatican II, brings to light her mission in today’s world, and shows the new – dialoging – character of the Church, her care for every man and woman, her attention to human problems. Research subject: Teaching of Jean Paul II on the Church in today’s world. Research purpose: To show the teaching of John Paul II in the context of the Church’s education. To achieve this purpose, the following steps have been undertaken: 1. Presenting the Church as the reality of God’s people. 2. Pointing out to the efforts of the Church and Pope for achieving peace. 3. Bringing to light the ecumenical traits in the life of the Church. 4. Showing the Church as the promoter of social justice in the people of God. Research method: Analyzing and synthesizing various documents of the Church.
