Pagrindiniu ugdymo tikslu laikomas visapusiškos, aukštos tautinės savimonės, humanistinės asmenybės ugdymas, išvardijami lokio ugdymo uždaviniai. Pabrėžiama mokymo bendrojo lavinimo mokykloje svarba ugdant šiuolaikinėmis sąlygomis visapusišką asmenybę
The aim in education is generally regarded as the ideal picture of pedagogical activity. In the present article the decisive conditions for formulating and articulating educational aims are discussed and different considerations about the content of educational aims are analvsed. The development of the harmonious, humanistic type of personality with an awareness of national identity and self-esteem is considered as the major aim in school education. Specific aims of school education that branch off from the major aim are treated as the action points in the process of realisation of the major aim. The specific aims refer to the multi-faceted personality development, namely: intellectual, technological, physical, moral, esthetical, and job-related activity. A special emphasis is laid on the teaching activity targeted at the above-mentioned aims at secondary school level in the present-day life situation
