Tiriant universitetų ir kolegijų studentų meninę patirtį atskleistos jai būdingos ypatybės kaip dvasingumo sklaidos skatinimo rezultatas ir prielaida, charakterizuoti studijų procese pasireiškiantys dvasingumo sklaidos veiksniai ir orientyrai.
From the pedagogical point of view, the trainee’s experience is generally valued as a result and presumption of education. However, it is important to understand what it means to the person him / herself, to the personal maturity, how it is connected to the future career in the society, in what way experience establishes itself in actual trainee’s behaviour from social viewpoint and adjusts his / her cultural development. Accordingly, it is necessary to evaluate the artistic experience, its meaning and purpose in human life. This article analyses the connection of person’s experience with the spread of spirituality in the process of artistic education. It has investigated college and university students’ artistic experience and its specific characteristics, as well as pedagogical factors stimulating the spread of spirituality in the studies process. The analysis of experience in the article is based on the viewpoint that the core of a personality is its spirituality. The meaning and purpose of artistic experience in human life are construed respectively. Therefore, the practice of artistic education is presented as the system of a person’s spiritual spread determined by a social viewpoint, which gives sense to the purpose of the process and to the obtained artistic experience by the trainee. Referring to this conception of the purpose of artistic education it clears out that a person’s experience in the context of spiritual spread is a topical pedagogical problem. The aim of the article is to evaluate a person’s artistic experience in the context of spiritual spread. The research has revealed that reproductive, creative and artistically expressive types of experience are common to the students (n = 1471) of Lithuanian universities and colleges. It has been determined that the experience of artistic expression as an integral indicator of the quality of artistic experience is the factor systematizing the artistic experience and determining its purpose. Consequently, the content of an artwork and the systems of the individuals’ spiritual values should be relevantly assessed as the factors and guides of spirituality, whereas the artistic activity and the individuals’ artistic cooperation, which are promoted in educational practice, should be relevantly assessed as the factors and guides of spiritual spread. According to this conception of artistic experience and its development, a way of spiritual spread system has been suggested; by applying it in the practice of artistic education spirituality is integrated into human behaviour, topical from the social viewpoint, and the process of cultural development. The research explored the features of students’ artistic experience and the real situation of artistic education in Lithuanian institutions of higher education; it disclosed the reasons of specialists’ limited artistic education, defined pedagogical factors and marks of the spiritual spread in the process of artistic education. The data is interpreted according to the ideas of constructivism. The suggested way of the improvement of a person’s artistic experience is a prerequisite to reconstruct artistic education, grounded on classical teaching paradigm, by applying it to the promotion of developing a trainee’s artistic experience in the context of spiritual spread. This cultural approach gives sense to the purpose of artistic education and the trainees’ artistic experience by promoting a personality’s maturity in a democratic society.
