Straipsnyje pateikiama pradinių klasių mokinių požiūrio į humaniškumą blanda parodoma, kaip palankiai tokio amžiaus berniukai ir mergaitės vertina šį reiškinį, nustatomi jų požiūrio pagrįstumo vertinimo lygmenys, tuo remiantis pateikiama II - IV klasių mokinių humaniškumo motyvacijos būklė. Drauge išryškinama, kad požiūrio į humaniškumą formavimas pradiniame mokykliniame amžiuje - aktuali pedagoginė problema, kurią išsprendus galima pasiekti humaniškesnio elgesio, tvirtesnių humaniškų įsitikinimų paauglystėje
This article presents the importance of developing primary school pupils’ attitude towards humanity based on the research data. The urgency of humanity education, the object, purpose, and methods are described in the introduction to this paper. Part 1 deals with the criteria of different facets of attitude towards humanity. The article deals with the results of a research, which was conducted with 331 pupils from 3 towns of Lithuania (Šiauliai, Vilnius, and Palanga). They reveal that children valued the basic manifestations of humaneness rather positively, often seeing their deeper meaning (assistance, sharing, not taking revenge). But their attitude does not correlate with their behavior. The question is whether the teachers have to develop pupils’ attitude towards humanity? The answer is positive. The teacher must develop the children’s attitude towards humanity because the stronger their moral knowledge in the early age, the stronger moral convictions in adolescence
