Straipsnyje remiantis turtinga pasaulio tautų folklorinių mįslių medžiaga atskleidžiamas ypatingai senas tradicinės kultūros konceptas kelias su įvairiomis jo metaforinėmis reikšmėmis. Būtent folklorinėse metaforose pasireiškė tautos giluminės kolektyvinės sąmonės pusės, tradiciniai mitologiniai ir poetiniai žmogaus įsivaizdavimai apie pasaulį ir save, apie gyvenimo kelią ir paskutinę kelionę, apie erdvės ir laiko ryšį. Taip pat straipsnyje nagrinėjamas ryšys tarp kelio ir vieno iš pagrindinių folklorinių motyvų – keliavimo. Analizuojami keliavimo priemonių, tokių kaip arklys, rogės, vežimas, valtis ir kt., ypatumai ir jų metaforiniai įvaizdžiai įvairių pasaulio tautų mįslėse. Autorė atskleidžia, kas jungia folklorines metaforas įvairiose etninėse tradicijose.
T he article reveals such an important and ancient concept of traditional culture as a road, a way in its metaphorical expression on the rich versions and variants of the material of folklore riddles of the different ethnic traditions. It is in the folklore metaphor that the deepest sides of the collective consciousness of the people, the traditional mythopoetic ideas of man about the world and himself, about the life path and the last path, about the connection between space and time were expressed. In addition, the report examines the relationship between the image of the road and the key folk motive of movement (locomotion). The composition and characteristics of metaphorical images of vehicles in the riddles of different peoples: horse, sleigh, cart, boat, etc. are analyzed. The common traits in folklore metaforica in various ethnic traditions are detected.
