Straipsnyje, remiantis konkrečiais tyrimo duomenimis, atskleidžiami šiuolaikinių Lietuvos ugdymo įstaigų ekologinės būklės ypatumai. Ekologinę mokyklų būklę vertina jose dirbantys pedagogai, geriausiai išmanantys šias problemas ir kasdien su jomis susiduriantys. Straipsnyje nurodomos trys pagrindinės problemos, turinčios įtakos mokymui ir mokymuisi: mokyklų geografinė padėtis, mokyklos, kaip būsto, ekologinės problemos ir mokyklų aplinka.
Many ecological problems arise in the modern school. Yet, very few special examinations have been made in the area of a great concern. The teachers distinguish between 3 main factors having the ultimate influence on the ecological state of schools: 1) the geographical location of schools; 2) forestation of the terrain and the extraneous objects present in the terrain; 3) the state of the school as an object of habitation. Based on the answers received from the respondents, we can state that many ecological problems are present in the modern school and much effort must be put in resolving them now. Having a vision of a comprehensive education of a young man, we should provide all the necessary conditions. Ecological state of schools demands a great effort and support on the part of scientists, educators, health care specialists and governmental institutions. Only the versatile support of these institutions can promote the improvement of the ecological state of modern schools.
