Relationship between subsidies and profit in Slovak agriculture

Main objective of the article is to evaluate the profit and subsidies development in Slovak agriculture based on individual data from the balance sheets and profit and loose statements of all agricultural enterprises in the period 1993-2008. Entering EU in 2004 and implementation of CAP meant the change of the whole subsidies system in Slovakia. The amount paid on subsidies is increasing but the profit stagnates. The article focuses on two variables: profit per hectare and profit without subsidies per hectare.
Pagrindinis straipsnio tikslas - įvertinti pelno ir subsidijų tarpusavio ryšį ir sąveiką, remiantis individualiais žemės ūkio įmonių balansų ir pelno-nuostolių ataskaitų 1993-2008 metų duomenimis. 2004 metais tapus ES nare ir pradėjus jgyvendinti Bendrąją žemės ūkio politiką, Slovakijoje pasikeitė visa subsidijavimo sistema. Nors išmokamų subsidijų apimtys išaugo, bet pelnas lieka stabilus, jis nekinta. Straipsnyje dėmesys sutelktas į du kintamuosius: pelną iš hektaro ir pelną, neiskaičiuojant subsidijų, iš hektaro.
