The article deals with trainers’ training in Poland during the last 50 years. The process of changes in trainers’ training from trainers-sportsmen in 1950s to high qualified trainers in 2001 is described in the current paper. Nowadays, in Poland there are too many professional trainers (with a title of a trainer) in comparison with other countries. However, only about 30 % of them are working according to obtained speciality. These conditions were already predetermined in trainers’ training ideology. The scientists of Poland, going deep into the research of this problem, and trainers themselves think, that the system of trainers’ training has to undergo the changes in essence
