This paper analyses and compares the results of 2 surveys of computer literacy. The first survey was run in Vilnius Pedagogical University during year 2001—2002 (E. Valavičius). The second survey was run during spring semester of year 2008. Participants were students of humanitarian specialities and students of mathematics-informatics. Topics of the survey: knowledge about hardware and software, information handling, text and hypertext, the Internet.
