Suaugusiųjų mokymasis apibūdinamas pateikiant kelių autorių pozicijas. Išsamiau aptariamos asmenybės ir situacinė suaugusiųjų mokymosi sampratos. Suaugusiųjų mokymasis yra apibrėžiama, kaip savarankiška, autonomiška, individuali, jų pačių patirtimi paremta veikla. The papers presents the characteristic of adult learning characteristic. Concept “adult” is explained in biological, justicial, social and psychological aspects. Some authors explains “learning activity” in the different way, because exist difficults to determine adult learning participants. Characteristic of adults as learners consists of two classes of variables. Those describe the learner through personal and situational characteristics. Most of authors empasize that adult learning in independent, autonomous, self- directed. Some authors perceive this learning in social context. They use concept “perspective transformation” concept, which explains this learning through psych-cultural aspect
