Straipsnyje, remiantis pasaulio pažinimo turiniu, išnagrinėta, kiek I-IV klasių V.Jonynienės „Aš ir pasaulis“ (1998), V.Jonynienės, E.Motiejūnienės „Pasaulis ir aš“ (1994), VJonynienės „Mūsų pasaulis“ (1995), V.Jonynienės „Vienas pasaulis“ (1996) vadovėliuose skirta vietos istorijos pradmenims pradinio ugdymo etape, svarbiausią dėmesį atkreipiant į pagrindinių istorijos terminų aiškinimą bei aptarimą. Per šį tyrimą išsiaiškinta, kaip pradinių klasių mokiniai yra įsisavinę ir vartoja sukauptą istorijos žodyną
The purpose of history is to help forming historical consciousness and understanding that the present world, its order and values are historically conditioned and changing. They must be created and regarded consciously. While learning history a great attention should be paid to historical terms. Historical terms are words that express special historical concepts. The work with historical concepts, while teaching children history, is very important. Further studies of history will depend on the perception of these concepts. The task of this paper is to analyse history textbooks for primary schools (Years 1 to 4) in order to establish how much attention is being paid to forming historical concepts at. the initial stage of teaching. The research shows how much the pupils mastered historical concepts and how they use the accumulated vocabulary. The pupils were given the following concepts: stone age, era, epoch, middle ages, prince, king, president, tribe, nation, state, history, anthem, coat of aims, flag.
