Straipsnis skirtas žiniasklaidos koncepto ,,Arktika”, kuriame yra ne tik ledas, sniegas ir ašigalio tyrėjai, struktūrai ir specifiniams bruožams. Šiuo metu Arktika – tai specifinis regionas, kuriame yra padidėjusi militaristinė veikla ir politinės kovos, ir tai vienareikšmiškai parodo medijų teksto analizė. Žodžiai ir posakiai, įvardijantys karinius objektus ir subjektus, įrangą, geopolitinius procesus ir kita, pabrėžia karinio ažiotažo eskalavimą ir apibūdina dabartinę kritinę situaciją regione. Šių geopolitinių reiškinių įvardijimas ir apibrėžimas, ypač saugumo užtikrinimo regione klausimai, regiono pozicija politinių sprendimų priėmimo algoritme, atsiranda žiniasklaidos dėmesio centre. Visi šie komponentai randami studijuojant žiniasklaidos informaciją kalbinių priemonių pagalba: kognityvinio žodyno sudarymas, jo analizė ir specifinių kognityvinių bruožų nustatymas žiniasklaidos koncepte ,,Arktika”.
The article is devoted to the structure and specific features of the media-concept ‘Arctic’, which contains not only ‘ice’, ‘snow’ or ‘polar explorers’. Nowadays the Arctic is a specific area, the region of increased militaristic activity and political battles; this is unambiguously verified by conducted media-texts analysis. Words and expressions that highlight escalation of military agiotage aroused around the region like names of military subjects and objects, equipment, geopolitical processes, etc. describe a current critical situation in the region. The nominations and definitions of these geopolitical phenomena, in particular questions of safety in the development of the region, the position of the region in the algorithm of political decision making process are becoming of immediate interest covered in the media. All these pragmatic components are reflected in studying of media-information with the help of linguistic techniques: composing the cognitive dictionary, its analysis and determination of special cognitive features in the media-concept ‘Arctic’.
