Tyrime dalyvavo 454 Lietuvos aukštųjų universitetinių mokyklų dėstytojai. Jiems buvo pateikti 37 punktų klausimynas, suskirstytas į atskirus teiginių blokus. Pagal pateiktus teiginius buvo vertintas dėstytojų požiūris j aukštosios mokyklos veiklą ir akademines vertybes. Taikant minėtą tyrimo metodą atskleista tiriamojo objekto (dėstytojų požiūrio j aukštosios mokyklos veiklą ir akademines vertybes) kintamųjų raiška bei įvertintas jų ryšys su socialinėmis demografinėmis tyrimo dalyvių charakteristikomis. Statistiškai apibendrinti tyrimo duomenys pateikiami lentelėse ir aprašomi. Gauti rezultatai atskleidžia lyties, mokslinės pedagoginės kvalifikacijos ir akademinio darbo universitete stažo sąsajas su tirtų dėstytojų nuostatomis dėl aukštosios mokyklos veiklos ir akademinių vertybių. Tyrimo rezultatai gali būti svarbūs sprendžiant studijų kokybės ir aukštosios mokyklos santykių su visuomene klausimus.
The article describes the research, which purpose is to determine the attitude of the academics at universities towards the work of the institution and academic values, and to reveal the dependency of such attitude on the social demographic factors. The written questionnaires were used to question 454 respondents (271 women and 181 men), who were incidentally selected from the Lithuanian universities (two respondents have not indicated their gender).
The statistical data analysis allows stating that the academics at universities approve the public role of the institution when the preparation of the students, who are able to compete in the labor market, is stressed. They are also fore the control of received resources, higher autonomy of the institution, but they do not relate its management to the management of profit-making organizations. With regard to the creation of academic skills and their application, the positive attitude to the scientific research and role of the university in the development of national economics dominates.
To express the opinion on the academic values, they are for the preparation of PhDs, development of the academic ambitions of the students, and they agree with the statement that it is important to develop the general competences at the high school, which allow the student get realized in various professional activities.
According to the results of the research on the interrelations between social demographic variables and attitude of the academics towards the activity of institution, the gender, academic work experience and scientific pedagogical qualification affect the attitude of the academics to the activity of the institution. It was determined that women have more positive attitude to the public role of the institution and development of general competences of the students, but they are less active in scientific, academic and professional activity. The academics with less academic work experience at higher school favor the novelties at university more, have more favorable opinion about academic values, but they are less active in scientific and public work. The academics with scientific degrees and I or titles assess the work and academic values of the institution more positively, i.e. if compared to the persons, who do not have such title, they are more favorable to the scientific researches and spread of their results, and participate in the scientific and academic.
