It has been emphasized in the article that the research of continuing studies is scanty; especially, the research disclosing the status of continuing teaching / learning and its correlation with work satisfaction. Without the evaluation of the present situation, its assumptions, it is impossible to control, forecast and influence it purposefully. The research has involved 1013 respondents of different age, education, having different work experience living in various parts of Lithuania. Using the analysis of documents, pedagogical and psychological literature; factual, correlation and graphic analysis of the surveys of the study respondents it has been attempted to define adults' sense of satisfaction with their work and studies in relation with their age, work experience, level of education and to demonstrate the correlation of the components. The study results have revealed that more than half of the respondents are satisfied with their work. Every 6'1' respondent is quite satisfied. Approximately the same number of the respondents experience rather little satisfaction. 7% of the respondents do not feel any fulfillment, performing their everyday work activities. The research has disclosed, that work satisfaction correlates with people’s education, age and work experience. More educated respondents are more satisfied with their work if compared to less educated ones. It has been found out that with passing years the sense of work fulfillment becomes stronger. The smallest number of the respondents who are satisfied with their work turned out to be among those under 25 or 25 years old. The number is a bit bigger among senior respondents: from 26 to 55 years old. The majority of the ones satisfied with their work has been registered among the respondents over 55 years old. A very similar situation has been observed in the aspect of work experience of the respondents - the longer work experience of the respondent, the more satisfied he is with his work. The study has demonstrated that satisfaction with ones work is basically correlated with work performance and results, answering ones needs, external conditions and dissatisfaction - with external conditions. The payment for their work does not influence the sense of satisfaction or dissatisfaction. The respondents do not study enough. Systematic studies are especially rare. Less educated people are apt to escape learning more often. Besides, the process of their teaching / learning is restricted by their inability co organize their activities, funds and lack of strong will. The research results have disclosed the fact that the more people are satisfied with their activities, the more they learn.
