Sąžinė asmenybės ugdymo procese užima ženklią vietą. Jos formavimas siejamas su žmogaus intelektualine ir emocine sferomis. Sąžinė žmogaus prigimtyje pasireiškusi kaip dorovinis poreikis, tampa įpareigojančia, privaloma ir nelaisva, o protavimo akte priimti sprendimai - yra laisvos sąžinės išraiška, savita ir unikali asmenybės saviraiška. Dorinio ugdymo programa ir jos realizavimas siejamas su sąžinės fenomenu ir jo sklaida, jis remiasi etikos teorijos ir dorovinio ugdymo praktikos ryšiais. Reali sąžinės išraiška - žmogaus elgesys, kuris determinuojamas tam tikrų motyvų į kuriuos įsilieja ir pačios sąžinės elementai.
The article deals with the education of the conscience in the development of the personality. It analyses the formation and historical development of the concept, its intellectual-emotional structure, as well as the ways of its functioning in personal behaviour and the main directions of the development of the conscience in the educational processes.
