Socialinis draudimas Lietuvoje šiandien susiduria su demografinėmis problemomis, kurios taip pat yra aktualios ir kitose užsienio šalyse. Lietuvos pensijų sistema turi būti reformuota, siekiant suteikti jauniems lietuviams ekonominį stimulą mokėti socialinio draudimo įmokas. Lithuania’s social insurance (pension) system— administered by SODRA - faces a growing demographic challenge which confronts the governments of many countries. Lithuania’s pension system must be reformed if younger Lithuanians are to have an economic incentive to make their social insurance contributions. For a broad range of assumptions, we show that the net present value of young Lithuanians’ contributions to SODRA exceeds the net present value of the pensions which they can expect to receive in retirement.
