Straipsnyje analizuojamos meninio ugdymo pradžios mokykloje kaitos priežastys, tendencijos ir idėjų Įgyvendinimo problemos. Siekiant nustatyti meninio ugdymo problemas Lietuvoje bei aptarti galimus jų sprendimus, darbe nagrinėjamos ne tik vakarų pasauliui būdingos kaitos tendencijos, bet ir rytietiška meninio ugdymo patirtis.
Any individual drawing performed by a child can be read as a sign, that tells us something about the child, something about the picture and when it is interpreted, tells us something about its interpreters as well. The article discuss opposite eastern and western art conventions. The article explains how different conventions in art influence the process of teaching drawing in primary school. The conclusion is, that child’s drawing skills depend on philosophical aspect of art education. The problems children confront with in western schools when they learn to draw are specific and typical only for the West. The theme was analysed with the purpose to find new possibilities for improving the teaching of visual arts in Lithuania. In the article is analysed the problem of copying as a background for creation. The work summarizes theories and conceptions in this area in accordance with the problems in Lithuanian primary schools. The last part of the article describes and interprets the main problems in art classes. The analysis revealed that children’s artistic development peculiarities in Lithuania are similar to those observed in the West.
